David Don Lay, age 66, of Ethridge, passed away on Monday. He was the retired executive vice president of manufacturing resources at Murray, a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church, past president of the Rotary Club where he was a Paul Harris Fellow, past president of the Lawrenceburg Golf and Country Club and past president of the Lawrenceburg Quarterback Club and named the Outstanding Man of the year in 1972.
He is survived by his wife, Imogene Belew Lay of Ethridge, a daughter, Kristi Harb of Santa Barbara, California, a son, Blake Lay of Lawrenceburg, a sister, Jimmy Smith of Lawrenceburg. Five grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Don Lay will be at eleven Thursday at Neal Funeral home with James Lee officiating. Burial will be in the John Lay Cemetery in Ethridge. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:30 until eight. Donations are asked to be made to the Humane Society, Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
