| Congressman Davis Offers Aid For Prescription Woes Posted on February 09, 2006 COLUMBIA, TN — U.S. Rep. Lincoln Davis and the Partnership for Prescription Assistance have joined together to aid those lacking prescription drug coverage by offering assistance in finding the right prescription plan. A state-of-the-art bus equipped with computer terminals and mobile phones, so people can find out if they may be eligible for one of the 475 prescription programs available, will be parked outside Maury Regional on Wednesday, February 22nd from 11:00AM-12:30PM. Assistants will be aboard the bus to make sure the application process is quick and easy. Congressman Davis will also be hand to provide assistance and answer questions. This regional event is one of three being held across the 4th Congressional District. The other stops on the bus tour include Crossville and Winchester. “I hope many of my constituents, who may find themselves uninsured or underinsured, look to this service to help meet their health care needs,” said Rep. Davis. The Partnership for Prescription Assistance brings together America’s patient advocacy organizations, pharmaceutical companies, doctors, and community groups to help patients who lack prescription drug coverage get free or nearly free brand-name medicines. Note: There will be a short press conference before the sign-up process begins where Davis and participating partners will present further information on how to access this valuable resource. |
