Marion ?Mickey? Evers, age 74, of Lawrenceburg, passed away Wednesday. He was a native of Lawrence County, owner/operator of Evers Construction Company, a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce. He was past member of the Kiwanis Club and the Lawrenceburg Golf and Country Club. He was on the board of Directors of First Farmers and Merchants Bank and a charter member of the K-Notes.

He is survived by one daughter, Janice Evers of Nashville, two sons, Mike and Bobby Evers both of Lawrenceburg, two sisters, Cecelia Niedergeses of Lawrenceburg and Barbara King of St. Joseph and two brothers, Louis and Vincent Evers both of Lawrenceburg. 2 grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Matt and Richard Buchignani officiating. Burial will be in the Calvery Cememtery. Visitation will be from 4-9 Friday at Neal Funeral home with a Rosary service at 7:30. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Calvery Cemetery endowment fund.
