Caty Barnett Named Miss Teen Liberty

From the 18 beautiful ladies from four counties competing this weekend, our 2006
Miss Teen Liberty, was Caty Barnett from Lawrenceburg. She is the 17 year old
daughter of Mary and Heath Hill and Lee Barnett. She is a junior at LCHS and has
maintained a 3.8 grade point average while in high school. Caty will reign over the
Liberty Day festivities and the Debutante Ball to be held this summer in July. Caty
will also advance to state competition the first weekend in October to compete for
the positon of Miss Tennessee Teen USA, which is a preliminary to the Miss Teen USA
owned by NBC, The Miss USA / Universe Organization, and Donald Trump. Caty was
awarded a $1000 college scholarship from the Miss Liberty Scholarship Fund
administered by the Lawrence County Education Foundation.
Integrity Productions, Inc. , the owners and producers of the Miss Liberty Pageants,
will furnish Caty’s registration fees and other related preparatory and wardrobe
expenses related to the state competiton, for a prize package totaling around
$3000.00. If Caty were to win at the state competiton, she would win a full four
year scholarship to U.T Chattanooga, a $50,000 scholarship to O’mar school of
design, and a $2500 scholarship to Austin Peay State University among many other
wonderful prizes and opportunities.

Kalee Messer of Lawrenceburg -4th runner up
>
Kylie Smith of Lawrenceburg -Personal Interview Award Scholarship – a $250
scholarship sponsored by Suntrust Bank & awarded for the highest personal interview
score to encourage good communication skills.

Carley Sisk of Lawrenceburg – Miss Congeniality -chosen by the delegates themselves.

Kameron Slater of Loretto – The People’s Choice Award – this is the first year the
pageant has given this award. It was an opporutnity for the pageant to give back to
the community. The public was given an opporutnity to cast their vote for the lady
of their choice for only a dollar a vote. 100% of the proceeds collected will be
given to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. The votes by the public had
no bearing on the judges official results for the pageant. The total collected by
the Miss Liberty Pageant for the Cancer Socitey was $508.00.
