County Commission Meets Tonight, May Take Budget Vote
Posted on September 26, 2006

The County Commission meets for its regular session tonight, but the meeting is likely to be anything but regular. The commission is expected to deal with the budget, which is already months late.
The budget is due to be in Nashville, at the latest, the first day of October. Commissioners are faced with rising costs, steep budget requests from the schools and building a new jail.
Speaking of the jail, the Lawrenceburg Planning Commission has told the county it won?t allow the jail to be built next to the Courthouse as the commission had planned. The meeting begins at five thirty. A Public hearing will be held before the commission meeting.
