Student Sickness Improving Everywhere But Crockett
Posted on November 14, 2006

Lawrence County Director of Schools director Larry Davis says he believes the system may have ?turned the corner? on absenteeism due to a flu-like illness.
Attendance has improved at every school except David Crocket where some 134 students were absent today (Tuesday). It requires 33 percent absenteeism system wide before the state will allow schools to close due to an illness. Right now the system is at only about 12 percent absenteeism.
Parents at Crockett were sent home a flyer asking them to bring Clorox wipes, and Kleenex to school to help with the spreading of the bug.
