LCHS, Loretto Gain Splits in Basketball Action
Posted on November 22, 2006

The undefeated Lawrence County High Lady Cats rolled past Giles County in Pulaski last night. The score was 68-34. Four Lady Cats were in double figures, led by Hannah Smith who had 13.
In the boys game, Giles county dropped LCHS 72-46. Lawrence County was playing without two of its best players who were injured Monday. Jordan Clayton and Trent Williams collided in what longtime Coach Bill Derrick called the worst injury he had ever seen in fifty plus years of coaching.
Clayton received over 100 stitches while Williams required 75. The two met head on hustling after a lose ball.
The Wildcats are now 2 and 2 on the season.

The Loretto boys continue to impress. They took Care of Wayne County 69-62, while the Wayne County Girls were 73-36 winners over the Lady Mustangs.
