LCHS Takes Pair From Loretto

In high school basketball action last night Brody Clanton scored 13 points to lead the Wildcats to a 47?38 come from behind win over Loretto?s Mustangs. Loretto ran out to an early lead but the Wildcats chipped away before finally catching the Mustangs in the third quarter.
The Lawrence County girls used a stingy defense to overpower the Lady Mustangs 42-24. Angela Spann led the Lady Cats scoring. Lawrence county hit 8 three point shots during the game.
Prior to the game, former Loretto star Jana Cross had her jersey number 41 retired, in an impressive ceremony. Jana Cross was all district, all region and all state during her four year career at Loretto. Miss Cross is now playing at Freed Hardiman, where she is averaging in double figures as a freshman.
