Lawrenceburg Teen Pleads Guilty To Murder in Exchange For Life Sentence

A nineteen year old Lawenceburg man will spend the rest of his life in prison after pleading guity to brutal murder of a 52 year old Lawrenceburg man a year ago during a robbery. Bobby DeShane Reynolds entered the plea agreement last week in the murder of Jerry Morgan at his home on Fred Street. He was due to stand trial later this month. A new trial date will be set for Reynold’s co defendant Corey Allen Byrd. Reynolds and Byrd were arrested shortly after the January 6th, 2006 beating of Morgan. Mr. Morgan died about six weeks after the robbery in Vanderbilt Medical Center. A hammer used in the beating of Mr. Morgan was recovered near the railroad tracks.
