Posted on January 08, 2007

This Friday, January 12th, at the Historic Crockett Theater, sixteen beautiful women from across the state of Tennessee will be vying for two very distinguished positions in 2007 with the Miss Liberty Scholarship Pageant Organization.

Our current 2006 Miss Teen Liberty, Caty Barnett, will crown not only the successor for her Teen division, but for the first time, she will assist in crowning the winner of the new position of 2007 Miss Liberty, created just this year for our young women ages 18-26.

The winners of both the Teen and Miss divisions will be awarded a $1000 college scholarship from the Miss Liberty Scholarship Fund, administered by the Lawrence County Education Foundation, as well as both receiving the $1000 state competiton registration fee paid by the Miss Liberty Scholarship Organization. Each winner will receive multiple prizes and gifts with the most intriguing being the opportunity to solicit application and competition at the Miss Tennessee USA Pageant and Miss Tennessee Teen USA Pageant in October. Both state pageants offer tens of thousands of dollars in scholarship monies to their winners. The state pageants are preliminaries to the nationally televised Miss USA and Miss Teen USA Pageants owned by NBC and Donald Trump. Lawrence County itself has produced two former state winners that participated on the national level with this organization and are looking to produce this opportunity for more young women currently through the Miss Liberty Organization.
