| Legal Action to Commence on Delinquent Solid Waste Bills Posted on April 05, 2007 Lawrence County citizens with delinquent solid waste disposal fees are being notified that legal action will commence within 30 days against past due accounts. On March 29, the Lawrence County Solid Waste Committee voted to pursue legal action against delinquent solid waste accounts. Approximately $300,000 in solid waste disposal fees remain uncollected since 2000. Individuals and businesses with delinquent solid waste fees will have until May 1, 2007 to bring those accounts up to date. After that time, those who have not paid will be cited into court. All delinquent solid waste fees are payable at the Lawrence County Office of Accounts and Budgets on Centennial Boulevard. Current fees, as well as 2004 and 2005 fees, may also be paid in the Trustee?s Office in the Courthouse. |
