Due to the recent Drought in Lawrence County the local USDA Farm Service Agency County Committee Has made a request to the Tennessee State Committee to approve the county for Emergency Haying and Grazing of CRP land in the county.
If this request is approved then producers are reminded that they must get prior approval thru the local FSA office before any haying or grazing activity. Haying or Grazing of CRP land is not authorized to start before July 1 under any circumstance. There are other rules that apply to Emergency Haying and Grazing, and the Managed Haying and Grazing of CRP Land.
Either come by the local FSA office at 237 Waterloo St. here in Lawrenceburg, or call at 931-762-6913 ext.2 for more details.
