Senate votes on a cigarette tax hike
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Votes Thursday as the Senate, on a 17-16
vote, passed a measure to increase the state’s cigarette tax by 42
cents per pack. Voting yes were 16 Democrats and one independent.
Voting no were 16 Republicans.
