Cornerstone Ministries To Hold Another Special Prayer Service For Relief From Drought
Posted on June 15, 2007

Cornerstone Ministries will hold another special prayer service Tuesday, June 19 at
7:00 p.m. to seek God’s mercy for farmers and the agriculture industry.

The severe drought is endangering the livelihood of everyone associated with the
agriculture industry in Lawrence and surrounding counties.

Many farmers are being forced to sell herds of livestock to salvage the home and farm.

Whether a beef or dairy cattle farmer, other livestock farmer or a
vegetable/grain/fruit farmer, the effects have been devestating. When coupled with
the unexpected cold snap near Easter, many crops have been totally decimated.

Farmers are also seeing a much higher cost for items such as livestock feed.

Church officials said “These farmers need help, the kind that only God through His mercy can grant. Join us
for a special night of prayer, as we ask the Almighty Lord for his hand to be upon
our land and to guide us through this desperate situation”

For more information, call Bro. Tom Reeves at 853-7818 or Bro. Charlie Kincaid at
