Time Change Is A Week Later This Year
Posted on October 28, 2007

Daylight savings time will come to an end this Sunday November 4th at two a.m. This year Congress added to weeks to Daylight Savings time. It started a week earler and will end a week later than in the past. Many calendars were printed before the law was passed and showed Sunday October 28th at the ending date.

Daylight Savings Time now runs from the second Sunday in March until the first Sunday in November.
Many fire departments encourage people to change the batteries in their smoke detectors when they change their clocks because Daylight Saving Time provides a convenient reminder. A working smoke detector more than doubles a person’s chances of surviving a home fire. More than 90 percent of homes in the United States have smoke detectors, but one-third are estimated to have dead or missing batteries.
