Man Shot By Deputy Out Of Hospital In Montgomery County Jail

The man shot by a sheriff’s deputy is now in the Montgomery County Jail. Ronald Murely appeared before General Sessions Judge Patricia McGuire late Tuesday and was arraigned on a variety of charges including, domestic battery, agrrivated assault and holding a person without their consent. Bond was set at 250-thousand dollars. Murley was shot by Deputy Bryan Bedsworth on Sunday night as he tried to arrest him in the drive thru lane at Wendy’s on North Locust. Police said Murely tried to assault the deputy with his pick up truck ramming him against the building. Murley was apprehended a short while later on the Good Hope Road. He was released from the hospital on Tuesday morning after getting his gunshot wounds treated at Vanderbilt. Deputy Bedsworth is on administrative leave with pay with the investigation continues by the TBI.
