Wayne County Man Changes Mind, Pleads Guilty During Trial At Lawrence Courthouse
Posted on November 07, 2007

A thirty five year old Wayne County man was sentenced to a twelve year prison sentence today at the Lawrence County Courthouse after he suddenly pled guilty during the middle of his trial. Jeremy Keeton was on trial for the sale of metha-amphetamine, and changed his plea from not guilty to guilty early Tuesday afternoon. Judge Robert Holloway ordered that the 12 years be added to a fifteen year sentence Keeton is already serving for a manslaughter conviction. Doug Dicus handled the case for the state and said he was pleased with the outcome. Keeton was convicted of manufacturing marijuana in February and of manslaughter in April. He is serving his sentence at the West Tennessee Correctional facility.
