|Giles Teen Killed, Several Injured In Highway 64 Accident On Saturday

A Saturday afternoon traffic accident involving one vehicle on Highway 64 west of Pulaski left one teenager, Keitasia Ballentine, dead and several others injured.
According to Giles County Fire and Rescue Chief Barry Whitt, the squad responded to a mid-afternoon call to the accident. Whitt said that when the squad arrived the vehicle was on fire. All of the passengers of the vehicle had either been ejected during the crash or had been removed by bystanders who witnessed the accident.
The squad managed the fire while prepping one of the victims to be transported to a Nashville hospital by an Air Evac helicopter and four others to be transported by ambulance.
The acident occurred for unknown reasons, according to Tennessee Highway Patrol Officer Joe Wynn. Keitasia Ballentine died in the accident. The injured juveniles are Deneisa Threat, Jamar McElroy, Tory Hardison, and Quincy Holt.
