Two Seriously Hunt In Mattoxtown Road Accident
Posted on January 21, 2008
Four persons were injured, two of them seriously, in a traffic accident last (Sunday) night on the Mattoxtown Road.
Seriously injured in the accident were: Randall A. White, who is 44 years old and lives on Virginia Drive in Lawrenceburg, and 44 year old Bobbi Stone.
Ms. Stone underwent surgery today at Vanderbilt Hospital and White was still in the trauma unit of the hospital. Two other passengers in White?s SUV were also flown by helicopter to Vanderbilt, they were identified as 44 year old Emmer Steadman and 37 year old Trista Bailey.
Steadman and Bailey were treated and released from Vanderbilt.
Trooper Josh Culp said White was traveling east on the Mattoxtown road about a mile east of the Lawrenceburg city limits when he apparently lost control of his vehicle in a curve and it began to roll.
At the same time, a Dodge Darango driven by 21 year old Jesse Orton came along and the vehicles collided. Unbelievably, Orton and his passenger were not hurt. White was pinned in his vehicle for about 40 minutes and it is believed that two of the passengers were thrown from the vehicle. The accident happened around 7:15 p.m. Also responding to the scene were the Lawrence County Ambulance Service, and the Lawrenceburg, Ethridge and New Prospect fire departments.
