COMMUNITY RECEIVES $40,000 ENHANCEMENT GRANT
Chad Chancellor, Executive Director, Economic and Community Development was pleased to be invited to Nashville on Wednesday to receive with Paul Plant and other members of the James D Vaughan real estate trust, a $40,000 Community Enhancement Grant. The grant money, which was provided through the efforts of Senator Doug Jackson, will be used to refurbish the Kraus Professional building which Dr Hazel Kraus recently donated to the James D Vaughan real estate trust. There are exciting plans in the works for making this facility an integral part of the Crockett Theater Campus.
?This is just another example of the confidence placed in Lawrence County?, said Chad Chancellor. ?Senator Jackson recognizes the grandeur of the Crockett Theater and the effort to conserve this beautiful facility. With a concerted effort by the City, County, Chamber of Commerce, Crockett Theater Board and the support of our community we plan to make this a centerpiece for our community with programs and performances ranging from all types of venues. I wish to thank Senator Jackson for his continued support of Lawrence County.?
