Mandatory Water Restrictions LIfted In Summertown, Conservation Urged
Posted on February 23, 2008

Mandatory water restrictions have been lifted by the Summertown Utility District, however, water conservation is still important. The district had been under mandatory restrictions since the drought saw water levels dip to all time lows. The situation is improving but the district will continue to buy water from the Lawrenceburg Utility System. Summertown Utility district is urging its customers to continue to conserve as much water as they can while the system recovers. They ask you to check, repair and maintain all water pipes for leaks on your property. The district is once again allowing new meter installations on existing water lines and is meeting prior commitments.
