Local Man Killed In Trace Accident

At approximately 8: 30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, Natchez Trace
Parkway personnel received a report of a two-car accident near Mile Post
363 in Wayne County, Tennessee. William Wilson age 68, of Lawrenceburg,
TN, was killed in the accident.

Wilson was traveling south on the Parkway when the 1998 Chevrolet Tracker
he was driving crossed into the opposite lane and was struck by an oncoming
vehicle. Wilson was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he died
from his injuries several hours later.

The driver of the northbound vehicle was not injured in the accident.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
