Lady Cats Softball Team Involved In Five Car Pile Up On Hwy 64

An accident involving five vehicles, part of a caravan of Lawrence County High School Lady Cats softball team, their coaches and some parents happened this afternoon around 2pm on
> Highway 64 in Giles County today.
The team was on its way to Shelbyville for a 5:30 game.
All the players escaped injury, one adult was taken to the hospital.
“We very very fortunate,” said Lawrence County High School Principal Mickey Dunn, it could have been much, much worse.”

> According to Roy Griggs, Director of Giles County EMS, the unidentified adult was > transported by ambulance to Maury Regional Hospital.
>> Responding to the scene were members of the Giles County Sheriffs
> Department, Giles County Rescue Squad and Giles County EMS.
>
> The accident occurred near the Choates Creek United Methodist Church.
