Super Delegate? Lincoln Davis ?Uncommitted? But Not
Posted on March 19, 2008
? Congressman Lincoln Davis doesn?t like the term ?Super Delegate,? but he is one of the party leaders selected as Democrat convention delegates who figure to play a huge role in who the party nominates for President of the United States.
?There?s nothing ?Super? about me,? the Congressman said, ?that?s just a term the media came up with. I was selected to be a delegate because of the position I hold.?
But ?super? or not, the Congressman, who visited Lawrenceburg on Wednesday is keeping who he is voting for close to his vest.
Hillary Clinton carried the Fourth Congressional District by a wide margin over Barack Obama and John Edwards in the Tennessee Democrat Primary.
?And if I vote the will of the people, she will get my vote, however, I?m uncommitted, not undecided, but uncommitted.?
?Neither candidate has got my name written down in their column.?
Davis answered questions for over an hour Wednesday morning at the Square Forty Restaurant in one of three town meetings he had scheduled for Wednesday. The others were in Pulaski and Fayetteville.
