| Michael Adkins Named LCHS Principal Posted on June 10, 2008 Michael Adkins will be the new principal at Lawrence County High School. Adkins, a Lawrenceburg native and former star basketball player for the Wildcats, will take over for his mentor Mickey Dunn who announced he is stepping down from the position after 17 and one half years as principal. Adkins and his wife are the parents of two girls. He is a graduate of the University of North Alabama and has been the past several years as assistant principal at a school in Alabama before returning to LCHS last year. He graduated from LCHS in 1991 after battling through Hodskins Disease. Adkins was told he was the choice of Director of Schools Bill Heath on Monday. He was selected from three candidates who applied for the job. Dunn has taken another assignment in the school system. |
