Shots Fired At Rotary Park, Two Suspects On The Run

Gunshots were fired at Rotary Park Thursday night as a suspect fired at a police officer and the officer returned fire. According to a news release from Chief Of Police Judy Moore, the suspect is identified as DeTarus Montrell ?D.T.? Brown.
Brown has been known to live in Chattanooga and Lawrenceburg. Shortly before ten on Thursday night, officers stopped and questioned two black males. Police said after they heard what the described as ?suspicious information? they checked the subjects for weapons or drugs.
Police found a gun in the waistband of Brown and said he ran and fired at police who returned fire. Neither the officer or Brown were hurt in the exchange of shots.
Police said Brown is 17 years old and sometimes lives in Chattanooga. The second suspect was five feet ten and weighs about 155 pounds with shaggy hair.
Police are urging anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Brown or the other suspects to call the police department at 762-2276.
Police had been targeting the Rotary Park area due to a rise in criminal activity.
