Independence Day Celebrations Set For Square, LCHS

Lawrenceburg?s Independence Day celebration will be on the square and at Lawrence County High School this year. Many independence day activities include tributes to the 100th birthday of Lawrence County High School.
On Friday and Saturday you?ll find music, food and fun on the square.
Stone Cold Bluegrass will get the music started with some wonderful bluegrass tunes by Vance Jack and the Gang. WDXE will take over around 10:30am with some great golden oldies. “Overdrive” will perform from 3:00pm until 5:00pm.
The Lawrenceburg Lions Club will be serve a catfish dinner from 11:00am until 2:00pm inside the City Administration Building
At 3:00pm on Friday the LCHS Alumni Gathering will take place on the Square with several classes offering hospitality tents, memorabilia, and treats. The LCHS Centennial Parade will begin at 5:00pm. leaving from Coleman Church and winding around the Square, exiting east on Pulaski Street.
Festivities will continue at the LCHS football stadium at 6 p.m., featuring the “Old Timers” baseball game, vendors and music. At dusk, the traditional fireworks display will light up the sky.
Local recording alternative rockers. “Born Empty” will perform on the Square Saturday evening, at 8:30 as part of the celebration.
