Joseph Andrew (Speedy) Hunt Sr., age 79, of Summertown, passed away Monday. He was a native of Lewis County, retired from Mensha Corporation and a member of the Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Louottie Hunt, five daughters, Betty Martin of Summertown, Debbie Dollar of Lawrenceburg, Catherine Pugh of Ethridge, Delois Leighton of Centerville and Linda Pierce of Lawrenceburg, three sons, Joesph Hunt Jr., of Ethridge, Michael Hunt of Lawrenceburg and Bobby Hunt of Columbia, two brothers, Carl Hunt and Earnest Hunt of Lawrenceburg. 22 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 at Neal Funeral Home with Samuel Phillips and Jonathan Pugh officiating. Burial will be in the Summertown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 Wednesday at the funeral home.
