Tennessee Worst State For Greenhouse Gas Emissions

It?s Earth Day and many activities are planned to mark the event . And maybe we need to do more?. Tennessee produces more greenhouse gases per capita than any other state. The EPA has announced that the agency now considers that pollution a danger to public health and welfare, which clears the way to hold polluters accountable.
Critics are concerned that the regulation will lead to higher costs for consumers, will hurt the economy, and lead to legal battles
County Executive Paul Rosson was at New Prospect Elementary School yesterday to encourage the students to help prevent litter and to learn to recycle.
Rosson said the county government has been very aggressive in its efforts to enhance the recycling program. David Crockett State Park has many Earth Day activities scheduled for Saturday. The Lawrenceburg City council will hear from Michelle Banks at their meeting tomorrow on The Green Market.
