The Rose Hill Fire & Rescue Department is looking for items for a benefit auction that?s set for August 29th, and so far they haven’t had much luck.
The volunteers are desperately trying to raise money to buy a much needed water tanker truck that would haul water to fires in rural areas of Giles and Lawrence Counties; places that don?t have fire hydrants.
The Rose Hill Fire Department serves the Rose Hill area and backs up the Ethridge and Summertown Fire Departments.
They respond to structure, automotive, grass and forest fires, animal rescue and help rescue people in automobile accidents and high water in area’s north of 64 and west of 31.
Rose Hill Fire and Rescue is an all volunteer organization located on Rose Hill Rd, Giles County, Tennessee. They are 1 of 8 stations throughout Giles County.
In addition to the auction, a motorcycle ?poker run? will held the same day to raise funds.
The group wants to buy a used 2005 Ford tanker. To help in any way, please call 931-363-8197. Volunteers will glady pick up your auction items.
