Guns In Bars; Restuarant Bill To Be Heard In Court

A hearing is being requested to further challenge a law that allows handguns to be carried in Tennessee bars and restaurants where alcohol is served. Under the new law, handgun permit holders cannot bring their weapons into establishments in which more than 50 percent of the proceeds go to alcohol. However, the plaintiffs contend the law is vague in that patrons have no way of knowing which establishments those are, and risk being penalized.
