Local Man Killed In Alabama Motorcycle Accident

Troopers have released the name of the man killed in a motorcycle accident Friday night on Cox Creek Parkway.
Michael Blake Perkins, 27, of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., died in the one-vehicle accident that happened east of Jackson Road at 9:50 p.m.
Reports indicate the motorcycle was westbound on Cox Creek Parkway. Perkins was knocked from the motorcycle when it crossed the divided highway and slammed into the south side of a bridge about 2 miles east of Alabama 20.
His body ended up on the ground below the bridge, which crosses Cypress Creek. The motorcycle came to rest in the median near the westbound lane.
