CC Sabathia pitched shutout ball and the New York Yankees took a 2-0 lead over the Los Angeles Angels after three blustery innings Friday night in a raw opener to the AL championship series. Playing in biting, wintry weather more suited to Big Ten football, New York scored twice in the first inning against John Lackey with the help of two fielding mistakes by his defense.
