Lawrence County Agents Bust More Meth Labs

LAST WEEK, DRUG AGENTS CONTENDED WITH MORE METH LAB CASES IN LAWRENCE COUNTY. ACCORDING TO THE SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT, A JANUARY 5TH TRAFFIC STOP YIELDED SOME DRUGS AND LED TO THE DISCOVERY OF A METH LAB. AGENTS PULLED OVER TONYA AND CHRISTOPHER WINDHAM ON A TIP THAT THE PAIR WAS MANUFACTURING METH. A SEARCH OF THE CAR TURNED UP SOME METH AND DRUG PARAPHENALIA. A SUBSEQUENT SEARCH OF THE WINDHAM’S OLD FLORENCE PULASKI ROAD HOME TURNED UP A METH LAB AND A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF THE DRUG. BOTH ARE BEING HELD IN THE LAWRENCE COUNTY JAIL UNDER 100 THOUSAND DOLLARS BOND. DRUG AGENTS ARRESTED A LEOMA MAN JANUARY 6TH AFTER DISCOVERING A METH LAB IN HIS CHANCE ROAD RESIDENCE. OFFICIALS WERE CALLED TO THE HOME AFTER AN ELDERLY FEMALE REPORTED WEIRD SMELLING FUMES COMING FROM A BACK BEDROOM. AGENTS DISCOVERED A METH LAB AND EVACUATED THE FEMALE. CENTERPOINT FIRE DEPARTMENT AND LAWRENCEBURG FIRE DEPARTMENT’S HAZARDOUS MATERIAL UNITS WERE DISPATCHED TO THE SCENE. PAUL PAWELCO WILL FACE METH RELATED AND RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT CHARGES. AND ON JANUARY 9TH, DRUG AGENTS WERE CALLED TO A RIGLING ROAD RESIDENCE ON SUSPICION OF DRUG ACTIVITY. A METH LAB AND DRUG PARAPHENALIA WAS DISCOVERED. 25 YEAR OLD CHRISTOPHER BARTH OF LORETTO WILL FACE DRUG CHARGES. BARTH WAS ALREADY IN CUSTODY ON AN UNRELATED AGGRAVATED ASSAULT CHARGE FOR POINTING A HANDGUN AT A NEIGHBOR. DURING THE SEARCH OF THE HOME, AGENTS ALSO FOUND TWO LAUDERDALE COUNTY ALABAMA SHERIFF’S UNIFORMS. OFFICIALS CONTINUE THE INVESTIGATION.
