Mr. Matthews was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a retired Welder, a member of Steam Filter Local 760, and a member of Loretto Church of Christ. Survivors include: Wife- Dora Jane Green Matthews of Loretto, TN; 3 Sons- J.C. Matthews of Loretto, TN; Sam Matthews of Loretto, TN; Keith Matthews of Loretto, TN; 2 Daughters- Jane Hollis of Hickory, MS; Trudy Puckett of Florence, AL; 1 Sister- Vonda Lee Jones of Elkton, TN; 9 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; Several Step Grandchildren; Several Nieces & Nephews; Preceded in death by: Granddaughter- Angela Matthews; 5 Brothers- Preston, Howard, Fulton, Buddy, & Nelson Matthews; 1 Sister- Ettena Scott
Visitation & Services
Visitation- 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Loretto Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service- 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Loretto Memorial Chapel with Danny Pettus officiating. Burial to follow in Richardson Chapel Cemetery.
