Mr. Ayers was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from NASA, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of Loretto Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include: Wife- Ann Simbeck Ayers of Loretto, TN; Son- Mike Ayers of Loretto, TN; Daughters- Judy Jackson of Loretto, TN; Melinda Ayers of Loretto, TN; Brother- Clentice Ayers of Nashville, TN; 6 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren

Visitation & Services

Visitation- 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Loretto Memorial Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service- 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012 at Loretto Sacred Heart Church with Father Luckas & Deacon Sammy Beckman officiating. Burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
