Wilfred Henkel, age 93, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Crockett Hospital in Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a native of Loretto, TN, owner of Henkel’s Garage, a member of Lawrenceburg Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Henkel served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Rose Sandschulte Henkel; one brother, Hubert Henkel; and one sister, Adeliene Fredebeil.

Visitation & Services

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Neal Funeral Home with rosary to be held at 7:30 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at Lawrenceburg Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 14, 2012, with Father Joseph Mundakal officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN with full military honors.
